What is your cancellation policy for public classes?

If you purchase a ticket to a date-specific, public class (virtual or in-person), it will not be refunded for any reason, however if you give a 7 day ahead of time notice as to why you cannot attend the class for which you purchased a ticket, you can receive one transfer into a future date.

“No shows” for public classes forfeit any refund on the class they purchased.

You can resell or gift your tickets (just let me know so that I send class information to the right e-mail addresses prior to class).

If you place a deposit for a private/corporate class, it is non-refundable and non-transferrable.

If you book a private/corporate class, please remember that you have booked me for a specific time. Classes need to start and end at the confirmed times. Please make sure your group is running on time, because I don’t extend classes on the backend for late starts! If you need a time extension day-of, there will be an additional fee.

Private/corporate classes require a final headcount five (5) days before the event (unless otherwise confirmed between me and the organiser). Please remember that once the final headcount is provided we will charge for that number of people on the day of, even if someone is a no-show. You can always add to the headcount up until the day-of the event! The more, the merrier!

What are your policies for private and corporate classes?

Yes, I know it is, but running a small business is tough (and I am a one-woman operation!). Please remember that my classes are in high demand, but I can only have so many people in a class. Finding space for you in a future class is almost impossible since they sell out so quickly, and if I were to accommodate every person’s request for a refund/transfer, well, I frankly wouldn’t be in business anymore.

When you purchase tickets or gift certificates, this cancellation policy is made very clear, which means you have agreed to the terms of the policies upon purchase.

I’ve had to put some strict policies in place to protect my business, but also to protect future customers. When you cancel, someone else who wanted those tickets also didn’t get to come to class!

Dang, girl, why is your cancellation policy so strict?!

What is the current policy (January 2023) around Covid-19?

For all indoor, in-person classes (which are currently at The Reveler, Esmeralda’s, or Porkchop), mask-wearing is not required. Proof-of-vaccination is also not required.

For more information about City of Chicago Requirements, please read!

The best answer to this question is: Quality control! You see, there is only one person running this whole operation (it’s me, Devin!!!) and I want to make sure I get to interact with each and every one of you! Sometimes, tickets sell out SUPER quickly, and sometimes we have a cancellation last minute, which means I can directly contact you and help you find a class that works with your schedule! By emailing me directly, I can give you the most up-to-date info and also chat with you (because y’all’re lovely!).

Why do I have to email you for tickets?

COVID-19 threw a monkey wrench in our public class schedule, so we extended the expiration dates on our gift cards and for those who bought a ticket to a specific class from March 2020 onwards. Please check below for specific details.

Ticket to a Fixed Date Class

We will work with all participants who were displaced from a date-specific class starting on 15 March 2020 onwards in the following manner:

If you were displaced from a class that was cancelled on 15 March 2020 onwards, you have 5 months (ending on 31 December 2020) to find a class that works for you from out public schedule.

If for some reason a class the class you request is sold out, or classes are not being held for whatever reason before the end of your new expiration dates, we will work with you to find a new date. However, if you do not contact us before your expiration, we will honour the new expiration date above, as we have consistent public classes available on a weekly basis with enough availability to ensure safety.
